During KS, a large rearrangement of the host cytoskeleton occurs [13], and two gene expression microarray assays have reported that the cytoskeletal protein tropomyosin 1 (TPM1) is down-regulated during KSHV infection of telomerase-immortalized microvascular endothelial (TIME) cells or lymphatic endothelial cells (LECs) [14, 15]. This evidence concerns the gene TPM1 and Kaposi's sarcoma.
