As an initial attempt to explore whether PARP14 regulates the Warburg effect, we evaluated the expression of PARP14 transcripts in highly glycolytic liver samples5, 6, 7, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33 from patients with HCC and patients with cirrhosis, a liver condition that predisposes patients to HCC7, 29, 34, by interrogating public gene expression databases. This evidence concerns the gene PARP14 and Cirrhosis.
