Karstoft and colleagues reported that interval walking (5 weekly sessions of 60 min over 4 months with 3 min intervals of fast ≥70% of V ̇O2max and slow walking ~40% of V ̇O2max) significantly improved DI as opposed to continuous walking in adults with T2D [10], which was reflected in increased insulin sensitivity, but still an unaltered insulin secretion. Here, INS is linked to type 2 diabetes mellitus.
