The finding that telokin S13 phosphorylation was not increased by nitrergic neurotransmission, and was dose-dependently increased by SNP suggest that telokin phosphorylation is dependent upon access of NO to SMCs, and prompted us to examine telokin S13 phosphorylation in response to nitrergic neurotransmission in W/WV fundus muscle strips, which lack most ICC-IM [14].
