Research conducted over a number of years reveals that the transcription factor MYCN [15] is the most important oncogene [1]. MYCN acts mainly by dysregulating downstream genes involved in key pathways that affect NB formation with putative effects by KIFAP3, OPHN, RGS7, ODC1, TOP2A, TWIST1, and TYMS on the same gene [16]. The gene discussed is MYCN; the disease is neuroblastoma.
