Intraperitoneal injection of Lonicerae japonicae flos polysaccharides 30 mg/kg and 90 mg/kg inhibited 23.95% and 30.02% of sarcoma S180, respectively, upregulated the expression level of Bax protein in mouse sarcoma S180, and increased Bax/Bcl-2 ratio and serum TNF-α concentration of tumor-bearing mice, indicating an antitumor effect that does not affect the normal growth and immune functions of tumor-bearing mice [103].
