MTOR and nonpapillary renal cell carcinoma: We analyzed cancer genomic sequence data from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) using the COSMIC (the Catalogue Of Somatic Mutations In Cancer) (http://cancer.sanger.ac.uk) and cBIO Cancer genomics portal [19-21] and found that mutations in MTOR were prevalent in about 6% of the patients with ccRCC while mutations in RHEB are relatively uncommon and present in about 1% of the patients with RCC.
