The authors of the study demonstrated that in the group of patients diagnosed with the mutation NLRP2 and NLRP3 as well as in chronic pancreatitis group the mean CAL index was more than 3 mm regardless of the PD, whereas in healthy individuals who are not carriers of the muted alleles CAL amounted to 1.62 mm. The gene discussed is NLRP3; the disease is chronic pancreatitis.
