In the present meta-analysis, the diagnostic sensitivity and specificity of PF NT-proBNP for diagnosis of HF diagnosis were 0.94 and 0.91, respectively; i.e., 94% of the patients with HF had increased PF NT-proBNP levels and 91% of the patients without HF had decreased PF NT-proBNP levels.
