LEP and nutritional deficiency disease: In the present study, to ascertain the health status of the population we analysed known parameters of malnutrition including dietary intake, BMI, leptin and serum determinations of albumin, globulin, total protein, TLC etc. Based on our nutritional questionnaires we observed that 70% of the population had poor dietary intake and 33.7% of the population was severely malnourished.
