Recently, Tannour‐Louet et al. 28 demonstrated that stable transfection with shRNA against CYP24A1 attenuated xenograft growth of DU145 prostate cancer cells in combination with oral gavage of 1,25‐D3, while 1,25‐D3 alone only slightly reduced xenograft growth. The gene discussed is CYP24A1; the disease is prostate carcinoma.
