Theraupetic delivery of microRNAs, “differentiation-inducing” agents such as HDAC inhibitors, antibody-directected to the cytoskeletal markers or manipulating the skeletal transcription factors, such as Runx2, by depletion either chemically or by RNA interference can be potential strategies to treat and/or prevent breast cancer bone metastases. This evidence concerns the gene HDAC9 and breast cancer.
