AGT and pulmonary edema: The proteins repertoire of alveolar epithelial cells including Na,K-ATPase and ENaC that play a crucial role in active sodium transport and AFC and the recent evidence for existence of Ang II receptors in these cells [19]; led us to assume that Ang II may play a role in Alveolar fluid clearance with conceivable contribution to the pathogenesis of pulmonary edema.
