A novel multikinase inhibitor of MET, VERFR1, AXL, TIE2, KIT, FLT3, and RET, called cabozantinib (also known as XL184), inhibits the growth, metastasis, and angiogenesis in pancreatic cancer and glioblastoma, and reduces resistance to gemcitabine. This evidence concerns the gene RET and familial pancreatic carcinoma.
