C10orf90 and breast neoplasm: We further measured the mRNA levels of FATS in breast tumor tissues (n = 156) and found that the average level of FATS mRNA even in pathologic stage–I breast tumors was 10-fold lower than that in normal control (P < 0.01, Fig. 1c) and were inversely correlated with pathological stages (extensively downregulated or nearly silent in stage III), suggesting that FATS deficiency occurred at the early stage of tumorigenesis.
