The presence of FGFR-BAIAP2L1 gene fusion has been shown to translate a larger protein in other cancers [24], but we identified BAIP2L1 only as a single band of 57 kD on western blot analysis of ovarian cancer cells, ruling out the presence of FGFR-BAIAP2L1 gene fusion. This evidence concerns the gene BAIAP2L1 and ovarian carcinoma.
