We showed that the median age at diagnosis for TNBC patients with either BRCA1 or BRCA2 is younger than for non-TNBC patients (38 vs 46 for BRCA1 and 38.5 vs 48 for BRCA2), suggesting that BRCA1- and BRCA2-associated breast cancer is most likely early-onset. This evidence concerns the gene BRCA1 and breast cancer.
