Pharmacological studies and clinical trials [3] have demonstrated that FZHY has a significant effect against liver fibrosis, in particular the effects observed from clinical trials in treating liver fibrosis caused by chronic hepatitis B. Furthermore, the actions on inhibition of hepatic stellate cell activation [4] and regulation of TGF-beta 1 signaling transduction pathway [5] also were effected for FZHY against liver fibrosis. The gene discussed is TGFB1; the disease is Hepatic fibrosis.
