We also found that the amplification is not specific to cancer cells but can occur in primary T-lymphocytes (CD3+ cells) or monocytes (CD14+ cells) freshly isolated from human blood and treated with Nutlin-3 for 24 hours prior to flagellin exposure, as shown by the increase in IL6 and IL8 expression in Figure 2D and 2E.
