Those Data showed a significant decrease in matrix metalloproteinases (MT1-MMP, MMP-2 and M MP-9)31 and cell adhesion molecules (ICAM-133, integrinα5β129 and E-cadherin30) after AQP3 knockdown, suggesting that these molecules may play roles in AQP3-mediated migration and invasion of breast cancer cells. This evidence concerns the gene MMP14 and breast cancer.
