Fig. 1 shows different IRS scores in breast cancer samples. We found that AQP3 was mainly expressed in the cell membrane and cytoplasm (Fig. 1 and Supplementary Figure S1B). The IRS analysis showed that higher AQP3 expression level was associated with higher histopathological grade and more lymph node metastasis in the patients with ER-positive breast cancer (Table 1). On the other hand, AQP3 expression level in ER-positive breast cancer was higher in the premenopausal patients than which in the postmenopausal patients (Table 1). This evidence concerns the gene AQP3 and breast carcinoma.
