Cul4A can be a potential target for developing anti-mesothelioma therapeutics because (i) Cul4A is amplified and overexpressed in mesothelioma tumours and cell lines as shown in this study and others 7, (ii) overexpressing Cul4A induces tumourigenesis in a mouse model 6 and (iii) knockdown of Cul4A expression reduces mesothelioma cell growth 7.
