Neutral: NLR not associated with survival or risk of death in patients with prostate cancer from Glasgow Inflammation Outcome Study. By contrast, mGPS, a combination of C-reactive protein and albumin, predicted poorer 5-year overall survival and relative survival independent of age, socioeconomic status, disease grade, and NLR. Elevated mGPS also had sig. association with excess risk of death among aggressive, clinically sig. prostate cancer (Gleason 8–10). The gene discussed is CRP; the disease is Familial prostate cancer.
