The co-expression of TWIST1 and ZEB2 was significantly associated with poor survival in patients without lymph node metastasis with a two-year survival probability of 57.1% as compared to 78.3% in node-negative patients without the co-expression of these proteins (p = 0.022, Fig 2B), but this was not observed in patients with positive node metastasis (Fig 2C). The gene discussed is ZEB2; the disease is metastatic malignant neoplasm in the lymph nodes.
