When wild-type A20 was re-expressed in a lymphoma-derived cell line, there was cell growth suppression and the induction of apoptosis accompanied by the downregulation of NF-κB activation, while down-regulation of A20 expression by siRNA in Epstein-Barr virus-infected lymphoblastoid cell lines was associated with apoptosis resistance and enhanced clonogenicity. Here, TNFAIP3 is linked to lymphoma.
