We inspected the biological function of the normal- and CML-specific NPM1-doublets (Fig. 3) and found that three RNAs coding for ribosomal protein (RP), i.e., ribosomal protein L10a (RPL10A), ribosomal protein L31 (RPL31) and ribosomal protein L36a (RPL36A), were only present in CML-specific doublets and were not present in normal-specific doublets. The gene discussed is RPL36A; the disease is chronic myelogenous leukemia, BCR-ABL1 positive.
