GAS5 silencing increases—and ectopic GAS5 lncRNA expression decreases—CDK6 mRNA and protein levels in cell lines [30,32]; a similar, inverse relationship between GAS5 and CDK6 levels has been reported in bladder and pancreatic cancer tissues [30,32], suggesting that this interaction is operative in vivo. This evidence concerns the gene CDK6 and pancreatic neoplasm.
