Several known protein complexes were enriched in prostate cancer patients urinary exosomes, such as the Vacuolar H+ ATPase and the LAMTOR (late endosomal/lysosomal adaptor and mitogen-activated protein kinase and mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) activator/regulator) complexes (average enrichment 3.7 and 4.5 respectively) (Figure 6), thus suggesting that these proteins may have a specific role in exosome release from prostate cancer cells.
