Since its first description in 2006, several studies have confirmed UCA1 to be a biomarker for urothelial carcinoma and studied its expression in other cancers, including colorectal and breast cancers (Wang et al. 2006, 2008, 2012; Yang et al. 2012; Zhang et al. 2012; Srivastava et al. 2014; Han et al. 2014; Huang et al. 2014). Here, UCA1 is linked to breast carcinoma.
