The results showed that mitochondrial differentially expressed proteins, including peroxiredoxin 3, peroxiredoxin 6, superoxide dismutase, δ(3.5)-δ(2.4)-dienovl-CoA isomerase, maspin, cytochrome c oxidase subunit 5A, mitochondrial precursor, protein disulfide isomerase related protein 5, eukaryotic initiation factor 5A, isocitrate dehydrogenase, and 26S protease regulatory subunit 7 isoform 1, have been detected in the tumour-stroma co-evolution model in that mitochondrial oxidative stress contributes to tumour metastasis. This evidence concerns the gene PRDX3 and neoplasm.
