To determine whether Cath-D binding to TRPS1 affects TRPS1 transcriptional repressor activity, we first assessed the effect of TRPS1 silencing (Fig. S3) on the transcription of endogenous TRPS1-target genes, such as parathyroid hormone-related protein (PTHrP) [21], STAT3 [22], osteocalcin [36] and ZEB2, which induces EMT in BCC [24].
