Our lab previously identified that TAZ upregulates its downstream targets, Cyr61(cysteine rich, angiogenic 61) and CTGF (connective tissue growth factor), through interacting with TEAD (TEAD domain)/TEF (transcriptional enhancer factor) transcription factor, which further leads to the resistance of breast cancer cells to antitubulin drug Taxol [14]. The gene discussed is CCN2; the disease is breast carcinoma.
