Our histological findings in PCa tissues, demonstrating that PCA3 is detected in both nucleus and cytoplasm, may explain some of the contrasting results for the subcellular location of PCA3, which has been observed at the nucleus15, 45, at microsomal subcellular fractions15, and at the cytoplasmic compartment45, but not in prostate-tumor stromal cells15. The gene discussed is PCA3; the disease is prostatitis.
