CDKN2A and adult T-cell leukemia/lymphoma: Remarkably, most of the patients with CDKN2 gene alterations had the acute and most aggressive form of ATLL, which is consistent with the fact that p16INK4A expression is a biomarker associated with a more favorable prognosis as measured by cancer-specific survival (CSS) and recurrence-free survival (RFS) in many human cancers.
