GRP and neoplasm: A preclinical study carried out by Yong et al. demonstrated that C57 BL/6 mice immunised with a DNA vaccine encoding gastrin-releasing peptide (GRP) (three doses of 50 μg DNA), followed by boosting with HSP65-GRP6 protein resulted in increased immunogenicity as compared to those receiving DNA vaccination alone, as indicated by an increased titre of anti-GRP antibodies and inhibition of prostate tumour growth (tumour weight 0.962 ± 0.462 and 1.536 ± 0.497 g respectively) [110].
