Together with mouse studies of neuroligin-3 (Baudouin et al., 2012) and Fragile X mental retardation 1 (Koekkoek et al., 2005) and a valproate rat model of autism (Stanton et al., 2007; Murawski et al., 2009), our work brings to eight the number of autism rodent models with alterations in cerebellum-dependent function. This evidence concerns the gene NLGN3 and autism.
