Poorly differentiated (high grade) tumors were associated with ANXA1 positive expression (tumor grade 2 or 3: ORadj = 1.59; 95 % CI = 1.04–2.43); as well as those positive for basal-like markers (EGFR and/or CK5/6 positive) or triple negative (ORadj = 4.21; 95 % CI = 3.22–5.50 and ORadj = 6.01; 95 % CI = 4.61–8.01, respectively) (Additional file 6: Table S3). The gene discussed is EGFR; the disease is neoplasm.
