Under this condition, we performed clonogenic, cell growth, and invasion assays, and found that transfection with CRABP1 siRNAs reduced cell proliferation and invasion in the CIC knock-down PC-3 cells (Figures 4E and 4F and Supplementary Figure 13), demonstrating that the increase in CRABP1 levels contributed to the promotion of cancer progression in the CIC knock-down PC-3 cells.
