When viewed as two subgroups, i.e., basaloid versus non-basaloid LC, there were no differences in mutation frequencies between the groups for two of the most commonly mutated genes, TP53 and MET. In contrast, no KRAS mutations were observed in basaloid cases, consistent with Rossi et al. [6]. This evidence concerns the gene KRAS and laryngotracheoesophageal cleft.
