Given the important role of CFLAR (CFLIP) as a key inhibitor of processing and activation of caspase 8; its prognostic and therapeutic relevance in AML [36] as well as in development of drug resistance [37] we designed this study to further explore the clinical significance of the CFLAR and its genetic variation especially the splicing SNP (regulating CFLAR-L and CFLAR-S forms) as biomarker of risk of disease as well as with development drug resistance. This evidence concerns the gene CASP8 and acute myeloid leukemia.
