MAPK8 and neoplasm: It has been shown to have influence on several anti-tumor target genes and inhibit tumors by altering multiple signaling pathways, such as, inhibition of NFκB and c-KIT pathway [3], inhibition of Jak2 transcription [4], inducing apoptotic signals by activation of pro-apoptotic proteins [5, 6], activation of MAPK8/JNK [5, 6], and inhibition of heat shock response [7, 8].
