NFKB1 and periodontal disorder: Given that the transcription factor NF-κB controls the expression of a large array of genes involved in inflammation [48], we used the human monoblastic leukemia cell line U937-3xκB-LUC to evaluate the ability of myricetin to inhibit activation of the NF-κB signaling pathway in view to support the potential of this flavovol to reduce the host inflammatory response associated with periodontal diseases.
