AFP and neoplasm: Multivariate Cox regression analyses showed that there were significant higher death and recurrence risks in patients with tumor stage III and IV (HR = 3.06 and 2.26, respectively), poor differentiation (HR = 2.40 and 1.82, respectively) and high level of serum AFP (HR = 2.08 and 1.48, respectively) when compared with those patients with tumor stage I and II, good/mediate differentiation and low level of serum AFP, respectively.
