Similarly, the mean fold increases of IFNγ and TNF production as well as CD107a/b expression (a surrogate marker for cytotoxicity) were all stronger in patients with CHC (37.54, 21.36, and 35.81-fold, respectively) compared to healthy controls (9.49, 4.16, and 2.02-fold, respectively) (Figures 3C–E; Figures S2B–D, S3B–D, and S4 in Supplementary Material).
