MT-ND6 and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis: Recently, Pirola et al. found that the methylation of MT-ND6 (mitochondrial NADH dehydrogenase) was higher in the liver of nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) than simple steatosis patients, and MT-ND6 methylation inversely correlated with MT-ND6 transcription and protein expression in the liver of NASH patients [20].
