CRP and diabetes mellitus: When analysing IGFBP-2 as a continuous variable (per 10 ng/mL increase), very similar results were observed, again with a statistically significant decrease seen with increasing serum IGFBP-2 (OR = 0.98; 95% CI = 0.97–1.00; p = 0.011) that was attenuated with adjustment for insulin, adiponectin, C-reactive protein, and estradiol (OR = 0.99; 95% CI = 0.97–1.01; p = 0.361), and when restricted to those without a history of diabetes (OR = 0.99; 95% CI = 0.97–1.01; p = 0.194).
