In our study of stage IV CRC, the 12.5 months improvement in median overall survival between CXCL1 levels in the normal versus upper quartile range greatly exceeds the median overall survival improvement of 4.7 months for additional bevacizumab therapy and 3.5 months for cetuximab therapy [11, 12]. Here, CXCL1 is linked to colorectal carcinoma.
