M. Acevedo et al. in their study entitled “Comparison of Lipoprotein-Associated Phospholipase A2 and High Sensitive C-Reactive Protein as Determinants of Metabolic Syndrome in Subjects without Coronary Heart Disease: In Search of the Best Predictor” observed that high sensitivity C-reactive protein (hsCRP) and Lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A2 (Lp-PLA2) were predictors of the metabolic syndrome in patients without CAD. Here, PLA2G7 is linked to coronary artery disorder.
