Mutations in the cationic trypsinogen (PRSS1), anionic trypsinogen (PRSS2), pancreatic secretory trypsin inhibitor (SPINK1), cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR), chymotrypsinogen (CTRC), calcium-sensing receptor (CASR) and the protein claudin-2 (CLDN2) genes were found in different types of pancreatitis [6–9]. This evidence concerns the gene CFTR and pancreatitis.
