10 out of 11 patients suffered from advanced liver cirrhosis (Child-Pugh score B or C) from different origins (Table 1, Table 3, Fig 2A), (multiple reasons possible: alcoholic liver disease n = 9; hepatitis B n = 1, cryptogenic cirrhosis n = 1, portal vein thrombosis associated with a Jak2 mutation n = 1). Here, JAK2 is linked to cirrhosis of liver.
