Since RAS activation is closely linked to early-onset hypertension and subsequent renal damage, this study investigated 1) the association of urinary AGT/Cr to estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) and height-adjusted TKV (htTKV), 2) its relationship with hypertensive status, and 3) tissue expression of AGT and other intrarenal RAS-related peptides in ADPKD human kidneys. Here, AGT is linked to autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease.
