Recently, rocaglamide was found to selectively bind to PHB1 and PHB2 with nanomolar affinity and to influence the membrane localization of PHB1 and PHB2 in the human T cell leukemic cell line Jurkat, the human cervical cancer cell line HeLa and the pancreatic cancer cell line AsPC-1. The gene discussed is PHB1; the disease is familial pancreatic carcinoma.
